Mark Zuckerberg is shook!

Google recently released Google+, its own social networking website. While still in the development phase, Google + is about to blow up!!!

While somewhat similar to Facebook, Google+ has a handful of cool features, including:

Google + Circles

Circles let users put their contacts into specific groups and share according to these preferences. For example, ‘party friends’ in one circle, ‘family’ in another, ‘coworkers’ and so on

Google + Sparks

Similar to the Facebook news feed, Sparks lets users share social media with each other. Based on users’ interests, it also identifies news and other links they might like.

Google + Hangouts

Used to facilitate group video chat. Ten people maximum can participate in a single Hangout at a time. STOP! Rewind… 10 person video chats!!!

Google + Huddles

Group texting feature that lets you have a group chat through your phone. Available on Android, iPhone, and SMS devices.

Google + Instant Upload

Specific to Android mobile devices, Instant Upload stores photos or video in a private album for sharing later

3 Steps to starting your very own Google+ account:

  1. Visit plus.google.com
  2. Sign into your Google profile. Or create one if you don’t yet have one.
  3. Upload a picture and have fun!

Google+ is growing at an incredibly rapid rate. At the end of its first week online, it was estimated to already have 4.5 million users. These accounts have become all the rage as the number of Google+ users expands by the day!

In addition to being a website, Google+ will also be available as a desktop application and on Android and iOS operating systems.

Can Google+ compete at the level of Facebook, which already has 700 million users around the world?
