Top 10 Worst (Useless) Job Interview Questions
Aleks Slijepcevic
Nothing ruins the prospects of landing your dream job than being asked the unanswerable. Even worse, these horribly-devised questions most likely have nothing to do with the job description or the company. To save yourself before you land in the hot seat, read the following top 10 questions college counselors didn’t tell you about.
10. Can you describe a scenario where you were forced to do something you didn’t like? Not only does this question put you on the spot as you rummage through your brain to come up with a good lie, it takes time away from answering important questions. More times than not, the interviewer doesn’t care, and it has every potential to backfire in their face if they ask a person who’s just a little too honest.
9. If you were a manager, how would you handle daily tasks? A great question for someone who’s interviewing to become a manager. For everyone else, a complete hit and miss.
8. What are your short and long-term goals? For most people, there is a huge overlap and the interviewer will probably hear the same goals twice. Worse, if the interview is for a cashier at Taco Bell, chances are the long-term goal is not what the interviewer wants to hear.
7. What is the most negative thing you’ve heard about our company? At this point, you could consider walking out as answering this question could lead down a not-so-good road.
6. Can you define honesty? This pretty much solidifies that the rest of the interview will progress horribly. Not only are you forced to slap together a half-intelligent definition, you can almost always expect a follow-up question asking to describe another scenario.
5. Why do you want to be (insert job title)? Healthcare, money in my pocket, something to do from 9 to 5…This question absolutely restricts you, and in order to please, you have to ditch the truth and invent an answer that falls in line with “career advancement and experience in dire economic times to better the future advancements of the company…blah blah blah.”
4. What would your past managers say about you? This is an absolute killer, especially if you had some bad managers who didn’t like you. Also, no one likes to assume what their managers thought of them, and if you lose yourself in this question, you might just come off as arrogant and a show-off.
3. Where do you see yourself in five years? This goes along with number 8, but you can certainly expect to hear this one. If you’re like 95% of the population, you don’t know where you’ll be in five days, let alone five years.
2. What is your favorite color? This seems to come up frequently, and it shouldn’t. It would also be staggeringly horrible if this was the deciding question.
1. What are your greatest weaknesses? Yes, the worst question ever asked in any job interview. First, it is an ugly feeling to have to scour your heart and soul for all the things that make you a weak employee, and secondly, it detracts from what makes you a good employee. Isn’t that what the interview is about, after all?

Cheating Capital of America – Washington, DC
Welcome to Washington, DC — Capital of the United States and cheating. This is the second year in a row the city has been graced with the title, beating out second place Austin and third place Houston, Texas.
This information comes from what one might consider the capital of cheating websites: Ashley Madison. Their slogan is “Life is short. Have an affair®” after all. Washington, DC has almost 38,000 registered users, the highest per capita membership on the site. 13 million members strong in fact, America is certainly a country that plans to sleep around.
Why DC then? According to Noel Biderman, CEO of Ashley Madison’s parent company, successful people cheat. They cheat because the same personality traits that led them to success are prone to take more personal risks or because they have more opportunity than the average person. And DC has a lot of successful people that travel frequently. Businessmen, lobbyists, political figures, salesmen, government officials and many more call Washington, DC home making it home to some of the most successful people around. In DC, an average of 30 people sign up to the site every day.
The day after Valentine’s Day is one of their biggest days of the year.
That’s right, the day after Valentine’s Day sees a 439% increase when compared to a regular day so don’t pick a terrible Valentine’s gift because it’s mostly women signing up that day. Fun fact, Mondays are usually their busiest day of the week. One has to wonder whether it’s just planning the week of affairs or because Mondays are so terrible. However you spin it, America is cheating and Washington, DC is the capital of both.
Bang With Friends?
It’s all in the title.
We kid you not, Bang With Friends is a Facebook app to .. bang your friends. With 13,000 Facebook page likes it looks like the concept might be catching on. In the first eight days the site’s creators claimed to attract 260,000 users and 15,000 matched hookups.
The app has been awarded “Terrible App Idea of the Week” by Forbes, but what could be wrong with a “completely private and discreet” app where words with friends and the Craigslist Casual Encounters section meets? Well.. besides the obvious reasons having sex with someone coordinated via an app titled “Bang With Friends” might not be a great plan. There’s this problem with facebook where nothing is really all that private or discreet:

To find a match you select the friends you would “bang” and no one is the wiser .. until a match is found. Then both users are notified of the matched hookup. After that it’s up to you. Essentially, Bang With Friends is designed to skip the awkward steps of anything resembling courtship. In the process it creates more opportunity for casual sex and one night stands. The app has even earned the title of “evilest app ever,” awarded by the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship in the US.
According to the app’s developers, it’s not the evil that everyone is describing. “[Sex] should be something you’re expressive about, that you’re comfortable with, and if there’s a beautiful woman or a handsome man that you’re interested in, you shouldn’t hold back,” one of the developers says. “We’re just giving you closer access to knowing the truth.” They think the app is better than dating websites like eHarmony or Match.com because “by being honest and forward, we’re taking the no bullshit approach [to sex].” But then again, the app was created on a Red Bull and vodka fueled two hour coding spree. The official email address is also pimpin@bangwithfriends.com and the FAQ page is essentially a pictorial of putting on a condom.

Venue Overview
Work your way past the red carpet, bouncers, and guest list. A softly illuminated hallway gives way to an energetic party inside. The Huxley arose from a 4,600 square foot space once called home by a television studio. If one word had to describe The Huxley it would be luxury. No detail is overlooked: careful attention went into furnishing of two unique rooms, materials used throughout the venue, standards at the door and so much more.

Step into the main room (Ballroom) and you are greeted by 14 foot finished ceilings, crystal chandeliers and ample dancing room encircled by VIP tables. Mirrors are surrounded by curtains to complete the “ballroom” look while a raised DJ booth provides an unimpeded view of the DJ from the crowd. The staff is efficient but friendly.

Enter the “Library.” It would be every college students’ dream come true if this were how libraries worked. An intimate room with a relatively large bar seems the staple of many lounges in DC Nightlife. Most do not however have a bookshelf behind the bar complete with books. Attention to sound, lighting and decor are paid throughout the venue for a well rounded feel despite the split personality of separate rooms.
