With his recent remix of Kaskade’s ‘Dynasty’ landing safely in the hands of Ryan himself, Glow resident Roberto Gonzalez is steadily climbing the ladder to fame well beyond our DC EDM community. Roberto’s music library is disgustingly huge and well equipped for throwing an amazing party. His knowledge of the DC crowd and what we like is unparalleled.
From contest winner to regular opening duties, Rez-E is jogging down the path most local acts dream about. He has opened for Wolfgang Gartner and Avicii, headlined with Des McMahon, is slotted for future opening sets and on December 4 will be spinning along side Glow resident Roberto Gonzalez. It’s not often local acts have such wild followings, but rest assured, every time Rez-E takes the decks his network is out in full force, going absolutely wild… and for good reason!!
Bio
Roberto started spinning as a hobby that was quickly turned into something that he loves. He has had a life long love of all types of music, but his true love is in Electronic music. His interest was first sparked by attending club events, especially GLOW, introducing him to all the different forms of electronic dance music. Through the years he has experimented with all styles, until he found his true passion; Progressive/Trance.
In 2003, he was granted his big break into the local DC scene, by holding down a residency for CitySonic’s monthly parties located in the Attic at HOME nightclub (now called ULTRA BAR). In 2004, he began to create his own productions with the help of his friend Eric Jao (DJ Enferno). Since then Roberto has been working along side Pete Moutso, Music Director and DJ of GLOW (www.clubglow.com) for the past Five years. Pete has been a big help in mentoring Roberto and has benefited a great deal, which shows in his DJ sets. In 2007, Roberto made a series of mixes called Images, which help spread his name within DC. The series help people get an idea of what they can expect from Roberto’s dj sets.
Today Roberto has established himself as one of the guys to watch out for within the local scene of DC. Currently he is working a productions and collaborating along with his brother Javier and Casey Keyworth (Breakfast) of Flashover Recordings on new productions. The one thing he always shoots for is to be able to share great music and vibe at any of his shows with the crowd.
Funky, crazy & wild. These are only but a few words used to describe a dance floor during a set by DC’s Rezilly. Born in America with Iranian blood flowing through his veins, Rezilly has always been obsessed with dance music since he was a kid.
He began DJing parties at the age of 14 and has been producing since he was 18. As years have passed he’s began to make quite a name for himself by opening for artists such as Wale, Jason Derulo, Wolfgang Gartner & Dieselboy. He’s also played in a number of clubs in the DC area including Lima, Midtown, Current, Eyebar & Club 24. In May 2010 Rez-E graduated from JMU with degrees in Justice Studies, Spanish, and Music Industry. After gaining his newfound knowledge as well as experience from college, Rez-E is ready to take on the industry one mix at a time.

George Garcia | Thursday Dec 2 at Glow @ Lima
From NY to DC nightlife, but he didn’t have to take the Chinatown bus. George Garcia arrived at GWU in 2006 on the back of a business degree, a pair of cleats and a mixer. He took no time in diving into the local house circuit, spinning at K Street Lounge, Eyebar, Lotus, Five and Indebleu. Within two years he found himself running parallel with those Chinatown buses, working residencies in NY at Azza Lounge and D’or as well as spinning here in The District. It was around that time he hung up the cleats and let the bass take over. 2009 saw George spinning everything from a Playboy fashion show to a US Tennis Association after party. He spun celebrity parties for everyone; Wimer Valderamma to Wu-Tang; Sean Kingston to Ovechkin.
His style? Tribal house with a flare for pop. His latest mix, ‘oE Summer Prescription’ contains tracks by Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Avicii, David Guetta, Yves LaRock, Steve Aoki and more. Everything is layered over the hypnotic pulse of tribal beats.

This Thursday Garcia makes his debut at what is arguably the #1 dance music event in the world, Glow. Voted ‘Best New Venue of 2010’ by Armin van Buuren and David Guetta, Glow at Lima provides the ultimate back drop for George Garcia’s pulsing, crowd friendly, go-crazy beats. It’s about time George truly arrived in DC nightlife!!

David Guetta did it!! House music is popular because it deserves to be, not because major record labels and top 40 radio stations tell us so. Thanks to David, people could in theory mention Ferry Corsten, Sven Vath, Flo-Rida and Akon in the same sentence. Imagine 5 years from now, the # 1 MTV (USA) video might belong to Mat Zo, Swedish House Mafia or Sander K. None of it would have happened without David Guetta and his sexy french house. To be honest, it’s already happening. ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ is currently #9 on the Billboard Hot 100!
The last time Guetta spun Glow he nearly blew the roof off Fur Nightclub. And hey, with Will.i.Am on opening duties, did you expect anything less? A special Thursday night, 21+ performance; This event will undoubtedly sell out, so get your tickets now!! DAVID GUETTA IS COMING BACK TO DC!!!! WOOO HOOOOOO!!!!! (sorry, it’s hard to contain the excitement)
Bio
As an internationally respected artist/producer/remixer/DJ, DAVID GUETTA’s track record has been impeccable for nearly two decades. Now, in 2010, his career is reaching new peaks: “When Love Takes Over” featuring the lead vocal of multi-platinum pop-R&B songstress Kelly Rowland, took off as a world-wide smash, posting its first national 1 charting in the U.K.; he is also the track producer of Black Eyed Peas’ rousing new 1 single, “I Gotta Feeling,” in whose video clip he makes a cameo appearance. And Guetta’s fourth studio album, ONE LOVE, released August 25th on Astralwerks, is an ambitious, ingeniously crafted album that sets forth nothing less than a bold and beautiful manifesto for the global pop and dance audience. Witness, for example, the phenomenal success of current radio smash-hit “Sexy Bitch” (a.k.a. Sexy Chick) feat. Akon.
“Making this record with so many talented artists was such an amazing experience and the end result is an album infused with all the best flavors of contemporary pop music that will appeal to such a broad audience both on and off the dancefloor,” noted Guetta.
Significantly, it was Guetta’s own defining and assured musical viewpoint as a DJ and producer that attracted the A-listers who make ONE LOVE one of 2009’s most diverse and star-studded album projects. Kelly Rowland, for example, moved to tears at first hearing the instrumental work-in-progress that became “When Love Takes Over” on the dance floor at Guetta’s famed F*** Me I’m Famous party in Cannes, greeted him in the DJ booth, and was later given the track to write to. will.i.am, similarly, had first approached Guetta to contribute to a club-inspired album planned by Black Eyed Peas (the just-released Energy Never Dies) – and their collaboration snowballed to include two tracks on ONE LOVE: the out-of-control “I Wanna Go Crazy,” and “On the Dancefloor,” joined by apl.de.ap, a fresh evocation of the hip-hop/house fusions of the late 1980s.
Throughout the agenda-setting ONE LOVE, Guetta serves up a body-rocking, all-embracing blend of hip-hop, soul and electro – an audacious fusion that’s been sorely missed ever since rap and dance audiences became polarized at the turn of the 1990s. With a global following of nearly five million celebrants at over 200 DJ performances just last year attesting to his musical authority, it’s no wonder that Guetta has emerged as a catalyst and a curator of an exciting new musical hybrid, his magical producer’s touch bringing out the best in all his collaborators — even as accomplished a hook-meister as Akon, who sings the album track “Sexy Bitch.”
A rare dance album spotlighting its vocalists as well as its beats — each singer cast flawlessly in tracks tailored to their individual qualities — every one of ONE LOVE’s vocal collaborations is marked by arresting hooks, inventive musical development, and compelling humanistic messages. Notable among the guests who leave true personal stamps on each song is Chris Willis, the longtime lead vocal collaborator with whom Guetta has shared no less than seven top 10 chartings around Europe, who lends his larger-than-life, testifying vocals to the funky house of “Gettin’ Over” and “Sound of Letting Go.” Recent Grammy winner Estelle imbues the title track with a rich, luminous emotional grace; and Kelly Rowland turns in another vibrant and melodic lead vocal in “It’s the Way You Love Me” worthy of the most stirring of Donna Summer’s dance anthems.
Breakout stars Kid Cudi (“Memories”) and Novel (“Missing You”) also share surprisingly personal stories in a dance format; and, rounding out an album full of high points, Wynter, fresh off a worldwide hit with Flo Rida (“Sugar”), stars in the erotically charged “Toy Friend”.
DAVID GUETTA’s name is synonymous with the world’s greatest house and dance music, and with the parties that bring that music to life. Since releasing his first pioneering single “Up 1 Way” in his native Paris, France in 1992, David Guetta has sold over 2 million albums worldwide and over 3.2 million singles. He has been France’s No. 1 club DJ for a decade, and was named the world’s No. 1 House DJ in 2008. Attesting to his global appeal, Guetta is also a bona-fide YouTube star, holding the record for “most watched” of any artist in the electronic music genre with over 32 million views of his 2007 classic “Love Is Gone”.
In Europe, Guetta has previously released three chart-topping albums (Just a Little More Love, 2002; Guetta Blaster, 2004; Pop Life, 2007). Guetta and his wife Cathy are also famed for staging the mega-sized dance parties, F*** Me I’m Famous, for tens of thousands of house, electro, and dance-loving fans from Ibiza to Miami, New York, London, Barcelona and Paris. They have released four best-selling compilation packages of the same name.

One of the most respected DJs in the game, Danny Howell’s has been pumping life in clubs since he was a teen in the late 80′s. In ’91 he was ‘discovered’ by John Digweed and spent the next 9 years as Diggers’ opening act at the infamous Bedrock parties at Heaven in London.
One of the original progressive/tech house DJ/producers, Danny is part of a small group of the EDM elite who held a residency at NY’s legendary Twilo. Among the names are Paul van Dyk, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Sasha & Digweed, DJ Dan, Richie Hawtin, Danny Tenaglia and Junior Vasquez.
**************************************************************
Lee Burridge has so much skill behind the decks that he essentially launched the entire club scene in Hong Kong during the mid-90′s. Think about that for a second… When he moved back to the UK in the late 90′s, he began monthly residencies with Sasha and Craig Richards. When a certain new club opened up, Lee and Craig helped establish it as one of the premiere clubs in the London. The name of the club? Fabric!!!
These days Lee is known for his GET WEIRD parties which often last until the sun comes up. His mix compilations are amongst the best and his antics behind the decks are unparalleled. Glow was at his after party on New Year’s this year and it was ridiculous!! He was still going at 8am!!
***************************************************************
Clearly you see the school of EDM here. Danny, Lee, Sasha, Digweed, the UK underground. If you close your eyes Thursday night, you may open them to find you’ve been transported to the London underground!!
Bio
DANNY HOWELLS
Danny is one of the few DJs on the scene today that truly has a style of his own. With his passion for all styles of music and infectious personality, Danny has created a unique, eclectic sound that has established him as one of the top DJs in the world. Danny is one of the hardest working and most dedicated individuals in the business with over 16 years experience and a hectic touring schedule that constantly takes him around the world. He’s played in the world’s coolest clubs and held residencies at Arc, Twilo, Renaissance, Home, and Bedrock, so its no coincidence that he’s been placed in DJ Magazine’s top 100 DJs in the world for the last 9 years.
Danny’s most recent compilation was his eclectic selection for the highly acclaimed Choice series on Azuli, which received fantastic reviews worldwide, whilst previously he underwent an intense world tour to promote his addition to the long running Global Underground series, GU27 Miami – having already released a Nu-Breed and a 24/7 mix for the label, Danny was the obvious choice. This adds to Danny’s continually growing back catalogue of mixes for labels such as Renaissance as well as his own Nocturnal Frequencies series.
His mixes have also made waves on the world famous Essential Mix, where his fourth mix aired in early 2007. It’s not just as a DJ where Danny has made a name for himself, he’s also an accomplished producer and remixer. Together with production partner Dick Trevor, the pair have been responsible for many stand out tracks, including the timeless Persuasion/Repercussion on Bedrock Records, Breathe on Renaissance Records (which was re-released on Cr2 with some killer new remixes) and Kinkyfunk on Yoshitoshi Records. They also hit the charts in 2004 with their Miami hit Dusk till Dawn, which was released on Cr2 Records and featured the vocals of Erire.
Danny has also had massive dance-floor success with Deep Dish as “Size DDD” and the Eminem sampling “Nobody listens to techno”. On the remix front Danny and Dick have recently remixed Roachford’s “Ride The Storm”, Madonna’s hit single “Get Together”, Marco Bailey’s “Smooth Driver”, and Destiny’s Child “Soldier”. Previously Danny has remixed artists such as Robbie Williams, David Morales, BT, Chakra, Ashtrax, Coco and Stonebridge and many more, most recently “Waiting For You” by Bent.
Danny has come a long way since his early beginnings Djing at Bedrock in his hometown of Hastings, though his complete love of all music remains the same. Danny is a DJ with a broad musical taste who likes anything from jazz to rock, to pop and anything a bit bizarre. He likes to champion his own special tracks and records that nobody else has latched on to and has a way of combining cutting edge grooves with crowd pleasing dynamics that enable him to connect with his audience making him one of the hottest DJs in the world.
LEE BURRIDGE
In the decade that has passed since Lee Burridge discovered acid house music, raided the local record shops of Bournemouth and took to the decks, his illustrious DJ career has spanned at least three continents and seen him work alongside some of the England’s most revered DJ’s.
In 1991 the South Coast scene was no match for Lee’s dexterous talents and Hong Kong beckoned with the promise of a residency that would put Hong Kong on the clubbing map. Six years later, the undisputed King of the colony was guesting at most of the big club tour parties in Hong Kong, including Cream, Ministry, Malibu Stacey and Northern Exposure.
In 1993 Lee turned his attentions to the now legendary full moon parties at Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand, with his residency at the back-yard club providing an inspirational alternative to the more standard nights around.
Future projects already promise to launch Lee into the DJing stratosphere and confirm his position as a face to watch on the scene. His residencies at Tyrant, both at The Bomb and Fabric, Golden and Cream continues to provide clubbers with the slick, hard, deep house, trancey, breakbeat sounds they have come to expect from him and his guest appearances at Gatecrasher, Sugarshack, United, Rhumba and Kelly’s Port Rush have introduced his style to club goers all over the country. Last year Lee broadened his DJ diary horizons to take in Thailand, Ireland, South America, Ibiza, Israel and Hong Kong where international club goers have voted with their feet for Lee’s driving progressive style. 2000 will see him play in Greece, Ibiza, the States, Brazil and undertake an Asian tour.
In 1999 Lee honed his studio techniques with the release of his mix CD ‘Metropolis’ (released on Tide), which received the Compilation of The Month thumbs up in Muzik. Future projects in the pipeline include collaborations with Breeder and Hybrid, a break beat track with Andy Page (who previously collaborated with Sasha), and various other remix projects including work for several other labels.
With 1999 already a distant memory, the accolades Lee received – a new entry @ no. 33 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ Poll, Muzik’s DJ Of The Month and Mixmag’s Best Up and Coming DJ, are the perfect platform to consolidate his rise in 2000 with the launch of his monthly Tyrant night with Craig Richards at Fabric and the launch of the Tyrant Compilation series on Distinctive Breaks which will showcase Lee and Craig Richards legendary DJ sets as previously seen at Space in Ibiza and The Bonaparte at the last two Notting Hill Carnivals.
The Tyrant series is set to kick off in May with a series of parties stretching the breadth of the country surrounding the launch dates.
