Guide to Washington DC Nightclubs, Lounges, Bars and Clubs
Let’s be honest, over the years DC nightlife was known for its lack of excitement. Compared to some other major cities in the U.S. the nightlife landscape in DC could best be described as mundane. Missing was that vibrant entertainment scene that one could find in Miami or New York City. Sure there were some nice places to frequent, but the choices always seemed a bit restricted. Fortunately after many years of limited choices in a lackluster nightlife scene, a few people led by nightclub owners and promoters decided that something needed to done in hopes to reinvigorate nightlife in the Nations Capital. Taking cues from Las Vegas, New York and Miami, DC nightlife began to reinvent itself a few years ago. With the stunning addition of electronica events in mega nightclubs to high end lounges that serve champagne and vodkas long into the evening, to themed oriented bars and café’s, the grand result of this reinvention was an undeniable and incredible jolt of life into the city nightlife and a much needed breath of fresh air for its residents and tourists.
Now DC has the opposite problem, way too many places! With all the many options now available, where does one go to have a good time?
