Quality > Quantity. When Nic Fanciulli is in town, he wants there to be an impact. A need fulfilled. Even a memory or two. Cool, calm and collected, Nic is one of the few DJs who refuses to let anything but the music do the talking. And when his music speaks, the human spirit listens.

{tab=About Nic Fanciulli}
From being a shy, talented DJ plying his trade as resident at his local club, to becoming a global superstar, the rise and rise of Nic Fanciulli has been well documented. He has been called “house music’s hottest property” by IDJ magazine, whilst his name repeatedly pops up when clubbers discuss who the finest DJ talent in recent years.
Nic joined the music world at 16, where he worked in the local record shop and DJ’d in the local bars, in his hometown of Maidstone, Kent. It was here that he earned his first proper break courtesy of the town’s house institution ClubClass. Aged just twenty Nic became main room resident for the night he remains fully committed to. Nic’s ClubClass residency would form the launch pad for his future success. Nic welcomed many legendary names to the night such as Deep Dish, Pete Tong, John Digweed and X-Press 2, all of whom were blown away by the power of his deep techy sounds, acid b-lines and dark melodic grooves. The residency also gave Nic the opportunity to play at different times of the night, allowing him to develop his own sound as well as develop a tremendous understanding of what is expected from a DJ be it in warm up or peak time slot.
Fast forward to 2006 and Nic boasts a portfolio of residencies across the globe that is both testament to his talent and versatility. Starting in the USA, Nic is quarterly resident at Space in Miami, undoubtedly one of the finest nightclubs on the planet, alongside Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Steve Lawler and Sander Kleinenberg. With one Space in the bag, another comes in the form of that legendary terrace in Ibiza for which Nic now plays nearly every Sunday. This resulted in the headline “Terrace Kings” which Nic achieved alongside Paul Woolford on their DJ Magazine cover story in August 2006. Then there is the residency Nic holds at the magnificent Il Muretto in Venice and finally back to Britain, where Nic has been responsible for ClubClass developing from a provincial club event, to one of the UK’s finest and most influential house nights. ClubClass then went to the Ministry Of Sound in London, which has given Nic an excellent platform in which to showcase his music, as well as the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Rolando and Funk D’ Void. March 2008 sees Nic starting a brand new night called Atomic at the esteemed club The End in London.
Nic’s production and remix work alongside Andy Chatterley, under Skylark and its bastard son Buick Project, has proved fundamental in pushing him through as both an artist and DJ. Skylark’s ‘That’s More Like It’ achieved Essential New Tune Status on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection show in August 2003, which was followed by a re-edit of Tears for Fears ‘Shout’, widely recognised as THE tune of Ibiza 2004. Acclaim has continued as a result of Buick Projects ‘Drop Da Beat’, ‘Chancer’, ‘At The Rave’ and ‘Lumieres’ and remixes for Kylie Minogue, Timo Maas, Tiefschwarz, Steve Lawler and Underworld amongst others. Buick Project was nominated for a Grammy at last years awards for their remix of Tracey Thorn/Tiefschwarz track ‘Damage’.
Add this to critically acclaimed releases for Renaissance and it’s clear that Nic enjoys a very busy studio schedule. Working with Renaissance has now become common place for Nic after he followed the likes of Sasha, Digweed and Deep Dish, by releasing a compilation on their legendary series in 2005. The mix received huge props from journalists and clubbers alike, was backed by a thirty date world tour and sold thousands worldwide.
Another string to Nic’s impeccable bow comes in the form of Saved Records which launched in October 2004. Widely regarded as one of the leading cutting edge labels on the scene, Saved has gone on to release compositions from both established producers such as Zoo Brazil, Paolo Mojo and Audiofly, to up and coming talent such as James Talk and Shafunkers, with remixes being delivered from the likes of Alex Smoke and Paul Woolford. “There is such an untapped pool of talent across the world at the moment that I want to help the new kids coming through get the recognition their music rightly deserves” says Nic.
2007 saw Nic join forces with James Zabiela for their One+One alliance, causing something of a press frenzy they toured across the globe, made some original productions in the form of ‘No Pressure’ and ‘Rover’ and released a double CD. Wasting no time Nic then went back in the studio with Skylark partner Andy and the result was their first artist album; ‘I-Panik’ was released in November of 2007 with a full remix package coming in Spring 2008. The likes of Laurent Garnier praised the album and the press were blown away – citing it as an intelligent piece of electronica. The remix package sees contributions from acts as diverse as Joris Voorn, Mauel Tur, Bushwacka! and many others.
With a list of achievements that already overshadows many DJs ten years his senior, its clear that Nic Fanciulli has proven how combining genuine talent with dedication can go a long way. And whilst his record label, residencies, productions and compilations continue to open the ears of thousands of people across the planet, the fact he has a whole host of future projects up his sleeve reveals the best is still to come…

{tab=About Andy}
Grammy-award nominated Andy Moor is a groundbreaking DJ and Producer in the electronic dance music scene. In his illustrious career, Andy has established a distinct, edgy and creative sound that is all his own. This sound, combined with his technical perfection led him to be highly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past 6 years. In 2009 he was nominated for the DJ Awards, in 2006 he won “Best D…ance Record” at the International Dance Music Awards, and in 2004 he won “Best Trance Producer” and “Best Trance Track”. Owner of the highly respected AVA Recordings record label, producer of the ‘Moor Music podcast’ and producer & remixer to the star’s, it all started from humble beginnings.
Andy Moor started exploring the potential of his talent early in life – at the tender age of 5, he could already play his first piano piece flawlessly. By age 11 his musical ability furthered to include 6 more instruments. Two years later he spun his first record and by 21 he was playing stages and concerts to thousands. Now, at the 31-year mark, Moor is considered one of the most influential figures in today’s electronic music industry.
Within the past year Andy has rocked the electronic dance music world yet again with his production – “She Moves” featuring the vocals of Carrie Skipper. The track struck chords with fans and critics alike. Its frequent appearance in clubs and on radio shows quickly caused this track to be a favourite to many, quickly raising it to the ranks of previous fan favourites. Shortly thereafter Andy was asked to remix the Signalrunners production “These Shoulders”, a task which he gladly undertook. Other past remixes and collaborations have included the likes of DJ Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Paul Oakenfold and more.
Despite his rise to prominence in the scene, Andy has remained incredibly grounded, communicating frequently and affably with his fan base through various social networking channels. In the studio Moor has been at the forefront of the rapidly evolving music scene, constantly pioneering new sounds and techniques rather than relying on a tried and tested production formula. When he’s not in the studio or on tour, Andy stays busy running his own record label AVA Recordings, which has remained one of Armada Music’s strongest outlets, consistently releasing the finest in progressive and trance from a talented roster of new and veteran producers including: Ashley Wallbridge, Tydi, David Forbes and Tritonal.
Many new and future AVA releases can be heard on his podcast, “Moor Music”, which has recently undergone a facelift increasing its frequency from monthly to fortnightly. Available through iTunes and with an ever expanding army of loyal followers and subscribers, the tracks are handpicked and mixed to perfection by Andy himself and are a true reflection of what you can expect to hear him play live at any of his shows or concerts across the globe.
This year Andy plans to reduce his tour diary, with the intention to spend some more time in the studio. After his 2005 collaborative album “Explorer” with Tilt received such a positive reaction, plans were put in place for Moor’s own artist album, which fans will be delighted to hear is well under way. Although his tour dates may be temporarily slowing down in order to concentrate on the new album, the future of the Moor legacy shows no signs of stopping anytime soon…
{tab= About tyDi}
Born and raised on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in Australia, tyDi has a background of classical theory and contemporary styles, as well as a university degree from the prestigious Conservatorium of Music.
“People ask me why I would bother studying when I’m already doing well in my field – but I believe knowledge is power, and it’s important for me to learn everything I can about sound and my passion in life. Music is powerful on so many levels, I want to learn, to know it inside and out,” tyDi explains.
And learn he did – For two consecutive years tyDi was voted as Australia’s #1 DJ (Sony ITM DJ Poll), as well as being listed highly in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs of the world in both 2009 and 2010. An amazing achievement for someone so young, but this accolade was far from the end of the story. The 23 year old attended the 2010 International Dance Music Awards in Miami where he was presented with the award for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ of the world personally by international dance giant Tiesto. He is an internationally touring artist, performing frequently in Australia, Europe, Canada, the US and Asia. Since 2008 tyDi has headlined many of the worlds leading festivals to crowds as big as 40,000 at events such as Sensation, Global Gathering, Godskitchen and the Trance Energy Mainstage in Utrecht, Holland where he played to over 20,000 music lovers.
In late 2009 tyDi launched his own weekly worldwide radio show titled ‘Global Soundsystem’ which has become a successful international name in its own right. Broadcasted in over 20 different countries after just one year, the fast growing success of Global Soundsystem led to one of tyDi’s biggest surprises yet, he announced to his fans that superstar guests Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Sander Van Doorn and Markus Schulz would all be joining him to mix and host the 50th episode.
tyDi’s critically acclaimed debut artist album ‘Look Closer’ hit the charts running where it went straight to the number 2 spot on the Australian Dance albums chart, with individual tracks appearing several times in the number one spot on the Beatport downloads chart. In both 2009 and 2010 tyDi mixed his own compilations for Ministry of Sound which were both followed by a 16 date tour for his fans. tyDi’s career as a song writer and producer took off when his first song ‘Meet me in Kyoto’ was signed to the world’s #1 Dj Armin Van Buuren’s record label ‘Armada Music’ at the age of 17. His releases such as ‘You Walk Away’, ‘Vanilla’, ‘Calling’, and ‘Half Light’ have become international favorites in their genre and are featured on compilations worldwide including several albums from Armin Van Buuren and many of the worlds leading DJ’s.
In the remix world, tyDi is known for adding his unique twist to the music of the worlds best with a recent remix for BT’s ‘The light in Things’ impressing so much that it led to the two of them working together on their own original collaborations, and it doesn’t end there! tyDi’s versatility is proven by his ability to produce soundtracks for hard hitting government advertising campaigns, video games, and luxury property developments.
It goes without saying that 2011 is going to be a big year for tyDi. The prospective tours, collaborations and musical productions are endless. Watch this space as tyDi becomes a brand synonymous with world-class dance music.
