Venue Overview

The Cloakroom is Washington, DC’s newest and most luxurious gentlemen’s club. There are plenty of strip gentlemen’s clubs in DC, but as soon as you approach Cloakroom you know it’s going to be different. Being greeted at the door by polite and friendly staff is refreshing, in fact all of Cloakroom’s staff fits that bill. After walking past the velvet ropes and making your way inside a massive main stage is the center of attraction. One side is adjoined by a bar complete with seating. Multicolor lights and funky (in a good way) carpets give the venue a retro-chic feel with modern features.

Seating is comfortable, and refined. Two two-story poles (and of course the dancers) steal the show. They have to be seen in person for full effect but we can tell you they look like they go on forever.

The second story has a VIP feel complete with its own seating, a separate stage and bar.  No need to miss the action on the main floor though, the second floor wraps around complete with clear views of everything going on. A VIP Guest Lounge truly defines VIP accommodations: the closed-off room contains couches and plenty of space and an option to view what’s going on outside. A DJ booth is also on this level with clear sight lines of the entire venue. This open format compliments the setting nicely.

Food and drinks are done right, the hilarious menu makes ordering food much more fun than it should be. Cloakroom raises the bar on adult entertainment while offering a comfortable environment for all.

Venue Overview

kstreet lounge is one of a handful of lounges to pop up over the course of K Street’s urban facelift in the past decade. With an emphasis on bottle service and table reservations but extra room for casual partiers to get their groove on, kstreet provides a spot for dancing, drinking, and socializing.

Traditionally a luxury playground for a late 20s, early 30s crowd of lawyers and lobbyists, kstreet is starting to expand its clientele by appealing to a younger crowd. While the “who’s who” of DC are a common sight at this venue – sporting Gucci and dropping off their exotic foreign cars at the lounge’s valet parking (complimentary with table reservation) – throngs of mid-early 20s professionals sporting Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger are helping pack the small but popping dance floor.

When you get too sweaty from dancing up a storm, kick back at your table or post up on the bar and soak in the lounge’s 14 plasma TVs, a high-end projection screen, and 20 LCD monitors with customizable content.  kstreet is equipped for some serious audio-visual entertainment action.

After cooling off, perhaps give yourself a look in a mirror to make sure your hair gel or makeup isn’t running: the lounge’s minimalist, futuristic-looking white-on-white color scheme keeps the venue relatively illuminated. Although a great place to be “seen,” it doesn’t really offer the intimate privacy of a dark corner.

Parties
  • Friday: Hip hop and R&B
  • Saturday: Hip hop and R&B
  • Sunday: Top 40s and House

Venue Overview

Lima’s upstairs Restaurant, known as Fujimar, is overseen by Executive Chef Reynold Mendizabal. A menu highlighted by fresh ceviche and sushi and select entrees has earned the restaurant high praise from patrons.

Funkagenda headlines tonight at GLOW!

Definitely one of the best “Electronic Dance Music” names around; Adam Walder AKA Funkagenda has been releasing straight bangers for 6 years now. Tracks you definitely know include the ever-popular “What the Fuck,” the track “Nobody Listens to Techno,” which samples an Eminem lyric that the song is named from, as well as collaborations with Mark Knight which include “Good Times” and their re-work of the classic “Man With the Red Face.” The funky one has also released tons of remixes for artists like Chris Lake, Radiohead, Robbie Rivera, Swedish House Mafia, Daft Punk and Wally Lopez. He works with everyone.

You seriously need to come to this event. Now is when DJs begin to make their initial campaigns for the DJ Magazine Top 100. It’s the push before summer. The festival circuit is coming up, then Ibiza, then it’s time to vote. Coming off the best British breakthrough artist award, Funkagenda is out to show the world why he is the #1 rising star from one of the most dance music-savvy nations in the world. We’re truly lucky to have Funkagenda gracing the decks; Fur is going to be absolutely nuts!

Even if you’re not a fan of “Electronic Dance Music”, there’s still 4 other rooms and party areas at this massive megaclub!

There’s Chris Styles from Hot 995 bangin it out in the front room, playing the best in hip hop, top 40, and dance.

Outside on the patio, a couple of DC’s best DJs throw down a wide mix of tunes guaranteed to make the patio bump!

There’s also a strong latin floor up in the Mafia Room, with all the best hits in reggaeton, latin, merengue, y mas!

And don’t forget the hip hop floor over in the Mink room!

No matter how you cut it, there’s a great party at Glow at Fur Nightclub in Washington DC!  Be sure to get your free pass to the event, straight off the Official Glow Facebook Page.
