With over 20 years of experience, it’s easy to list Bad Boy Bill’s accomplishments. Amongst other grand achievements, he invented the mix tape, helped pioneer Chicago house, and is co-founder of Beatport.

Bill crosses every genre of music. If you think David Guetta was the first person to mix rap with house, think again. Bill has been voted the #1 American House DJ (BPM Magazine), won the award for Best Dance DJ (URB Magazine) and been ranked in the DJ Mag top 100 numerous times. His DJ prowess was evident in the late 80’s when he came in 2nd and 3rd in the DMC US Finals (’88 and ’89).

It’s surprising that his first artist album was released less than a year ago. With bangers like “Do What You Like,” and Billboard Dance Chart top 10 hit “Falling Anthem,” featuring Alyssa Palmer, Bill has remained relevant to dance music throughout his entire career. His most recent track, “Fast Life,” featuring Alex Peace, forces you to bob your head, stomp your feet and shake those shoulders like there’s no tomorrow.

Come check Chicago house legend Bad Boy Bill on Saturday May 8 at Fur Nightclub.

Experience Russia’s #1 DJ. Bobina has ripped up clubs across the world with his soothing, euphoric style of trance. Currently ranked #16 in the world (DJ Magazine), Bobina has received support from Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk and more. Last summer he received the Dance Nation of the Year gong on behalf of Russia at the Ibiza DJ Awards.

His last 3 Glow dates have been postponed for various reasons including weather and transportation delays. He recently started a video blog, “Bobina TV,” documenting his travels and worldwide success. The first episode, aptly titled “First Blood,” follows him as he spins Pacha NYC and attempts to make it to Glow, only to be thwarted by flight cancellations and a lengthy train ride.

Check out Bobina TV, his latest hit “Angel of The North,” and Ferry’s remix of “Invisible Touch,” for a preview of what’s to come. Glow, Lima and Bobina… FINALLY!!!

Kaskade at Glow Washington DC on Saturday May 1st! (DC Clubs)

$10 off admission before 11pm with this printed flyer

This is going to be huge even for dance music in Washington, DC. If you rarely go out, if you go out to bars more than dc clubs or if you don’t really go to electronic dance music events… This is one time where exceptions must be made. Kaskade is one of those artists who transcends genre. It doesn’t matter if you like metal or minimal, you will love Kaskade. Be sure to come early this Saturday, as the lines outside Fur Nightclub are sure to wrap around the building.

Kaskade is known to the mainstream for his unique ability to turn pop music into dance floor hits. He has reworked, remixed and breathed new life into tracks by Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Keri Hilson, Lady Gaga, Nelly Furtado, and Pussycat Dolls. Just google Kaskade and any one of those artists and see for yourself.

It has been about a year since Kaskade and Deadmau5’s track “Move for Me” reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay chart. Since that time, the Chicago-native Kaskade has scorched the globe, playing festivals and stadiums everywhere from California to Argentina and beyond. 2010 is proving to be his biggest year yet. Dynasty, his 6th album, is being digitally released just 4-days before his DC gig. Along with that comes the title track as well as “Only You,” produced with Tiesto.

To understand what the scene at Fur will be like this Saturday all you have to do is look at photos from the last time Kaskade was in DC. Here, we’ll make it easy for you…. This Saturday at Fur is going to be utter madness. Make sure you’re there early as Glow will be doing a special promotion. We don’t want to give too much away, but the first 1000 people there are in for a treat!!!

Club Glow has been sponsoring the top dance music events in Washington DC clubs for over 10 years. With the experience, network and know-how it’s no wonder Glow is known world-wide as one of the best events. Blake Jarrell this Thursday at Glow at Lima! (Electronic Dance Music!)

This Thursday at Glow at Lima, you can catch Blake Jarrell, a rising star of Electronic Dance Music brought to light by Armin van Buuren.  After listening to a few of his original productions, Armin contacted Blake and soon after he joined the Armada artist roster.

Since that time Armin has invited Blake on several of his world tours as an exclusive special guest performer.  Blake cemented his relationship with Armada Music when he joined a select group of international stars for full summer residencies at Armada’s weekly shindig at Amnesia in Ibiza in 2007 and 2008.

Battle tested indeed, after traveling to over 90 cities, the New Orleans kid turned Chicago hometown heavyweight remains busy and is looking to climb further up the DJ charts with an intense schedule of original productions and remixes.

Funkagenda headlines tonight at GLOW!

Definitely one of the best “Electronic Dance Music” names around; Adam Walder AKA Funkagenda has been releasing straight bangers for 6 years now. Tracks you definitely know include the ever-popular “What the Fuck,” the track “Nobody Listens to Techno,” which samples an Eminem lyric that the song is named from, as well as collaborations with Mark Knight which include “Good Times” and their re-work of the classic “Man With the Red Face.” The funky one has also released tons of remixes for artists like Chris Lake, Radiohead, Robbie Rivera, Swedish House Mafia, Daft Punk and Wally Lopez. He works with everyone.

You seriously need to come to this event. Now is when DJs begin to make their initial campaigns for the DJ Magazine Top 100. It’s the push before summer. The festival circuit is coming up, then Ibiza, then it’s time to vote. Coming off the best British breakthrough artist award, Funkagenda is out to show the world why he is the #1 rising star from one of the most dance music-savvy nations in the world. We’re truly lucky to have Funkagenda gracing the decks; Fur is going to be absolutely nuts!

Even if you’re not a fan of “Electronic Dance Music”, there’s still 4 other rooms and party areas at this massive megaclub!

There’s Chris Styles from Hot 995 bangin it out in the front room, playing the best in hip hop, top 40, and dance.

Outside on the patio, a couple of DC’s best DJs throw down a wide mix of tunes guaranteed to make the patio bump!

There’s also a strong latin floor up in the Mafia Room, with all the best hits in reggaeton, latin, merengue, y mas!

And don’t forget the hip hop floor over in the Mink room!

Style Out with Wally Lopez this Thursday at LIMA

Best glasses ever! Wally Lopez, currently ranked #62 by DJ Magazine will be in DC this Thursday to showcase the best Spain has to offer. Having worked with the likes of Madonna and David Guetta, the Spaniard with the funky glasses is guaranteed to bring a hip European flow to Lima Restaurant & Lounge.

Whether you’re a fervent supporter of electronic music, someone who’s looking for a sophisticated dance club, or the occasional patron of DC Nightlife, Lima provides a chic atmosphere while still allowing you to sweat it out on the dance floor.

Wally began his professional career at the age of 13 on Spanish radio. While most kids his age were discovering the opposite sex, Wally was broadcasting to thousands and eventually hundreds of thousands of listeners. In 2000 the 24 year-old Lopez produced “Amman,” his first international hit, followed by “Patricia Never Leaves the House,” and “Disco Night.” Supported by the likes of past Glow DJs Steve Lawler and Hernan Cattaneo, those three tracks planted Lopez on the international radar. In 2004 Wally’s remix of David Guetta’s “Just a Little More Love,” helped cement both artists’ celebrity.

Since 2001 he has been stuffing his trophy case with awards for Best Production (Deejay Mag 2001, 2004), Best International Newcomer (Ibiza Deejay Awards 2002), Deejay of the Year (Deejay Mag 2005-2008), and a slew of others.

Today Wally Lopez is a brand. With his own clothing line, a partnership with Vueling Airlines and the distinction of being the only non-athlete sponsored by Oakley, he has started to transcend music. Last year he was named an Ambassador of Dance4Life, an organization created to fight AIDS amongst youth. As a humanitarian Lopez also collaborated on the “Mixing for Haiti,” project where he released the hit track “Rhythm of the Night,” with fellow Spanish star Marta Sanchez.

Now is the time to see what the hype is about. With a compilation for the world famous Global Underground series due out this month, this Spanish master of house will without question be bringing his “A” game to Club Glow.

Glow is part of Panorama Productions, the premier facilitator of DC Nightlife, hosting the best events in DC nightclubs since 1995.

Ready for the Weekend? The King of Electropop is coming to Glow!!!

We know Calvin Harris is ready for the weekend. He’s a fucking rock star!! There’s no doubt about that. He was born to produce, to perform, to make millions go nuts. And how was he discovered? How was a kid from Dumfries, Scotland plucked from the UK and connected to fans throughout the world? Myspace of course! He did have two tracks signed in 2002 under another name, but it wasn’t until EMI and Sony BMG noticed his Myspace numbers that Calvin Harris the rock star came into being.

Nicknamed the “King of Electropop,” one listen to either of his chart topping albums and it’s easy to see why. Not too druggy, not too poppy but just right; Calvin’s fusion of wobbling synths and ultra fun vocals is the perfect recipe to indulge your sense of youthful exuberance. His style is without question the perfect refreshment. Imagine the hottest, sweatiest, most tired you’ve ever been. Close your eyes and feel how good that glass of ice water felt as it ran through your chest. That’s Calvin Harris.

He conforms to no one style. The man is precisely what the Dr. ordered for today’s brand of EDM. Obsessed with classifying genres and complaining that music is too cheesy or too minimal, people need to chill. They need to quit worrying about who they know, how cool they look, how super underground they are or what their status is as it relates to the politics of clubbing. People need to stop, smell the roses and have some freaking fun!

Come out to Fur this weekend and let Calvin Harris, the King of Electropop, remind you what it feels like to be a kid again.
