With his recent remix of Kaskade’s ‘Dynasty’ landing safely in the hands of Ryan himself, Glow resident Roberto Gonzalez is steadily climbing the ladder to fame well beyond our DC EDM community. Roberto’s music library is disgustingly huge and well equipped for throwing an amazing party. His knowledge of the DC crowd and what we like is unparalleled.
Jon Deke bangs out every time he spins. His ability to evenly flow from disco-influenced house to thumping electro is a testament to his prowess as a DJ. His opening sets for artists like Calvin Harris, JFK and Don Diablo prove that he can get the crowd moving with ease and keep them moving with every track he spins.
Bio
Roberto started spinning as a hobby that was quickly turned into something that he loves. He has had a life long love of all types of music, but his true love is in Electronic music. His interest was first sparked by attending club events, especially GLOW, introducing him to all the different forms of Electronic dance. Through the years he has experimented with all styles, until he found his true passion…Progressive/Trance.In 2003, he was granted his big break into the local DC scene, by holding down a residency for CitySonic’s monthly parties located in the Attic at HOME nightclub (now called ULTRA BAR). In 2004, he began to create his own productions with the help of his friend Eric Jao (DJ Enferno). Since then Roberto has been working along side Pete Moutso, Music Director and DJ of GLOW (www.clubglow.com) for the past Five years. Pete has been a big help in mentoring Roberto and has benefited a great deal, which shows in his DJ sets. In 2007, Roberto made a series of mixes called Images, which help spread his name within DC. The series help people get an idea of what they can expect from Roberto’s dj sets. Now Roberto has established himself as one of the guys to watch out for within the local scene of DC. Currently he is working a productions and collaborating along with his brother Javier and Casey Keyworth (Breakfast) of Flashover Recordings on new productions. The one thing he always shoots for is to be able to share great music and vibe at any of his shows with the crowd.
Jon Deke has been passionately mixing and creating music since 1999, including hundreds of appearances in venues all over DC and the east coast. As a music producer, his original tracks have been widely released and have been supported by the likes of DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Fake Blood, Kelly Reverb, Alex Peace, Busy P, Antonine Calamaran and the list keeps growing. His most recent release, ”Jack into our world”, was a collaboration with partner and long time friend LJMTX under the name “Robot Hipsters” which is a heavy hitter on the blog circuit.
In DC, Jon Deke is a regular for the famous GLOW events. Jon has appeared at every leading venue on the east coast, including FUR, Lima, Blackhole, Sonar & many others. He also remains active in the scene supporting local parties as well as other local artist.
With his upbeat, energetic style and blend of electro & nu disco, The future is looking bright for this young up and comer.

He spins hard, he spins dark, and he spins foooreeevvveeerr. Famous for his 24 hour marathon sets, Victor Calderone has massive followings in NY and Miami. His parties are famous for allowing people to completely forget the world around them. When you walk inside the club and Vic is spinning, nothing else matters. It’s just you, him and the music. The best after parties in NY are without question headlined by Calderone. Whether you’re leaving Electric Zoo, just saw Armin or PvD at an early evening outdoor venue, or don’t know what to do late night on Thanksgiving, Halloween, Independence Day, whatever. VC’s parties are where it’s at. He’s going to explode all over Lima’s face, there’s no question about it. The only real question is can you handle it?

Travie McCoy | Sat Sept 4 | POP at Fur
Travie McCoy wants to be a billionaire, so freakin’ bad — and, we think he’s on his way.
Tall, dark and handsome, this talented ladies man was born and raised in Geneva, New York, where he met Matt McGinley in his gym class. The duo bonded over a shared love of music and started a band that later became Gym Class Heroes, which burst into the mainstream in 2007 with the No. 1 hit “Cupid’s Chokehold.”
Now, he’s topping the music charts with his own song. “I Want To Be A Billionaire” [watch video].
Standing 6′ 5″ (see, we said he was tall), with loads of charm and charisma (and a hot collection of tattoos), Travie is one of music’s most recognized celebrities, which is why it’s no surprise that he’s dated several famous gals.
His latest main squeeze was Katy Perry — who he blasts in one of his new songs.
In it, Travie rants about Katy supposedly being with another man and calls her a ‘little brat.’ The song, “Don’t Pretend,” also features lyrics like, ‘Little miss teary eyes you have no reason to lie to me. I finally realize why you can’t look eye to eye with me. And I knew about him the whole time — the hotels, phone calls, psshhh the whole nine.’
Look out, ladies! This guy’s a fireball — who is raking in the big bucks. And, not only does he have one of the hottest new singles on the airwaves, he’s hot and single himself.
See Mr. “Billionaire” in person as POP does FUR — a special Saturday POP edition on Sept. 4, 2010!

Sean Tyas
It just warms our hearts to see Sean Tyas climibing in the world rankings. He entered the DJ Mag top 100 at 54 in 2008, climbed to 45 in 2009, and this year, with all the touring he’s done, it’s almost scary to think where he’s headed.
A local act from NYC, Sean relocated to Switzerland a few years ago in order to better hone his skills as a trance DJ. Apparently it worked! With productions like ‘Lift,’ and the recent ‘Seven Weeks,’ as well as ridiculous remixes of ‘Shipwrecked,’ and Tiesto’s ‘Suburban Train,’ Sean Tyas has established himself as a true savant when it comes to trance production.
2010 sees Sean heading up his new Tytanium imprint and working on his first artist-album. He has also been touring like madman doing Trance Energy gigs everywhere. The world knows Sean Tyas intimately, it’s time we did too.
Des McMahon
Des McMahon has been making serious waves in the past year. His releases on Kubik, Stampgevaar and CGI garnered praise from the likes of John Askew, Tom Colontionio, Mark Sherry, Adam Foley and Will Atkinson. His recent “Rainmaker/Crack the Whip” EP on Discover Records is currently supported by John O’Callaghan, Simon Patterson, Aly & Fila, Tyas, Askew, Colontonio and more. “Rainmaker” is destroying clubs in Ibiza as we speak! The Philly native and rising junior at American University will bring a mix of funky techno, lush progressive and driving trance to the big room at Fur!

The Crystal Method (yes, named after what you think they’re name after) has been one of the clear-cut leaders in electronic music on a worldwide scale. They pretty much started a sound that became synonymous with 90’s ‘techno’ music. Together with The Prodigy, The Crystal Method composed the theme to the Matrix, that should give you a pretty good idea of what we mean.
Last year’s “Divided by Night,” album featured guest appearances by the likes of Matisyahu, LMFAO, Justin Warfield and Peter Hook. It proves that in the world of EDM, if you got skills they will ALWAYS shine through.
The last time they were at Glow (with MSTRKRFT) it was off the charts. People everywhere, bodies pulsing, utter madness. Saturday night is going to be nuts!! But hey, Glow on Crystal Method will do that.
