The event runs all day. To keep folks happy, there will be a ton of local food trucks and drink options. For some extra comfort, splurge on a VIP ticket, which offers a sweet view that overlooks the entire venue.
Thievery Corporation has its origins at Eighteenth Street Lounge, where members Rob Garza and Eric Hilton met back in 1995. They have since together released seven studio albums, over a dozen compilations, and a slew of singles on their label, ESL Records. Together they’ve toured the world but Washington, DC, still remains home!

Redskins Season Opener vs. New Orleans Saints [09.09.12]

Hail to the Redskins! #HTTR
Redskins vs. Saints | at New Orleans
1 PM — Sunday, September 9, 2012 | Watch: FOX
Redskins fans have a severe case of football fever: they haven’t been this excited about an NFL season in ages!
In case you missed it (and you’d have to be living under a rock if you did), there’s a new rookie quarterback in town and the expectations riding on his shoulders are higher than the Washington Monument!
Is 22-year old Robert Griffin III (RG3) finally the answer to the Redskins woes?- Can RG3 fill the void left by over a decade of disappointing and unreliable quarterbacks?
- Can RG3 help the Redskins win the NFC East for the first time since 1999?
In spite of the hype, RG3 is still just one guy and the Skins’ success ultimately boils down to a total team effort. Going into their third year under head coach Mike Shanahan after posting a 5-11 record last season, the Redskins looking to record their first winning season since 2007.
Fun Fact: 2012 marks the Redskins’ 80th year in the NFL
The Redskins ranked in at #24 in ESPN’s pre-season power rankings. ESPN the Magazine predicted the Redskins would go 2-14 this season. Redskins Nation can only hope they’re wrong!

Glow Thursdays: Now at Josephine
Bye-Bye Lima, Hello Josephine
In case you missed it, Glow Thursdays has a new home: we’re taking DC’s #1 dance party to Josephine!

Josephine features an open layout and a good size main-room capacity that we feel is ideal for an intimate Thursday night. The sunken area, known as “The Pit,” will no longer feature bottle service on Thursdays, but rather exist purely as a dance floor. The back room will be open, overlooking the main floor, for people to relax and enjoy the music.

Introducing Echostage, DC’s Largest Dedicated Concert Venue
Panorama Productions, Club Glow & Partners Present…

(Washington, DC) – Effective September 3, 2012, an investment group headed by Panorama Productions and Club Glow will take over operations of the DC Star nightclub/concert venue. The space is located on Queens Chapel Road near the corner of New York Ave and Bladensburg Road NE.
It will undergo a multi-phase construction schedule over the course of several months. Cosmetic, technical and structural changes will transform it to a state of the art concert venue: Echostage.
Through music, design and technology, ownership will provide fans with a unique audio/visual concert experience.
Echostage will have the ability to host any large-scale, indoor concert production. Panorama’s ‘Club Glow’ Saturday events will move to the new location.
“We’re excited to finally bring a concert venue of this size to DC. To the fans – please bear with us. We’re modifying the space as fast as possible. Experience the amazing transformation from a nightclub to the largest concert venue in the Nation’s Capital.”
– Antonis Karagounis, Panorama Productions/Glow
“Dance music has grown to the point where we can do massive line-ups on a regular basis. This venue has been the missing link. Artists, agents, management, major promoters; everyone we’ve talked to is excited to give fans the epic shows and concerts they deserve.”
– Pete Kalamoutsos, Panorama Productions/Glow
“Washington, DC has not had a large-scale, dedicated concert venue in many years. As a lifelong resident, I’m proud that Panorama Productions is responsible for bringing a venue of this size to the DC-area.”
– Jimmy Marmaras, Panorama Productions/Glow
The first concert at Echostage will be a Glow event featuring Dutch DJs Sander van Doorn and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano on September 22.
Future dates will include dance, rock and any production requiring a large-scale, dedicated concert venue.
A complete listing of Glow Fall events will be announced on Friday August 24, 2012.
