Fujimar: Late-Night Sushi & Ceviche in Washington DC
1401 K Street,
Home of Lima Lounge Welcomes Fujimar

Take an open second floor space,
infuse Latin and Asian flavors.
Mix Sake and Tequila. Sushi and Ceviche.
Drop some downtempo music.
Here is DC’s newest Restaurant
and evening seafood bar.
Fujimar is the product of combining and renovating Lima Restaurant and Vetro Lounge. Focusing solely on the culinary experience, the second level of Lima Lounge has adopted a more open layout, added a drink bar, sushi bar, and created a menu drizzled in Japanese-South American fusion.
While Lima Lounge remain’s one of DC’s top nightlife destinations, Fujimar will become a choice amongst DC foodies for sushi, ceviche and select items from the former Lima Restaurant menu.
Entering Fujimar from the familiar entrance at 1401 K St. NW, patrons are greeted by an inviting, modern layout. Stainless steel accents at the new drink bar compliment the hardwood floors. Comfortably firm white leather couches, chic velvet-like chairs, minimalist table seating washed by a chroma light display creates a relaxed, high-end atmosphere. Moving further inside, large HDTVs add to the ambience while stone-top tables fit for kings await.
The menu features a combination of Asian and Latin food without the standard con-“fusion” experienced at similar style restaurants. Fujimar instead recreates the unique culinary experience achieved only when two foreign cuisines blend naturally. The result is an interpretation of cuisine forged when Asian immigrants relocated to Latin America.
These inspirations will result in a menu of sushi and ceviche alongside a selection of fish (including unusual options such as Tasmanian Kin Salmon, and Hapu’up’u), caught and shipped the same day from Hawaiian waters.
Owner Masoud Aboughaddareh ensures the fish will be “hooked, line-caught or speared by divers within American waters to ensure strict fishing regulations” and “chosen with great care, knowledge and sensitivity
for preserving the environmental heritage of the world’s most coveted seafood.” Other options such as braised short ribs and barbecued chicken with butter and soy sauce will be available as well.
Fujimar’s drink menu features wine list with imports by artisan winemakers, an extensive Saki collection and a hand-crafted beverage program. No thirst will go unquenched.
Sushi and ceviche served until 1AM M-Th and 2am F/S enhance an already gratifying experience. Fujimar hopes to infuse something fresh into DC restaurants and the K Street neighborhood.

Cedric Gervais Music Video “Molly” Filmed in DC
Are You Looking for Molly?
Three casting calls later, eager participants from the DC Metropolitan Area flocked to District Nightclub in Adams Morgan on Sunday, February 12, to fill roles in Cedric Gervais’s newest music video, “Molly.”

Upon the cast’s arrival at 3 pm, District was already buzzing with activity: make-up artists and hairstylists whipped up new looks as costume directors made sure everyone was vibrantly dressed. Under the direction/production of Nicholas Cambata and Douglas Sonders from 8112 Studios, filming began shortly after sundown at 6 pm.

Featuring a sweaty mix of hipsters, ravers, club kids, b-boys, go-go dancers and party animals, the set oozed with sex appeal and controlled chaos!
Complete strangers made out with one another and girls gulped body shots of each other’s bellies; K-Y Jelly was liberally spread on nearly anyone with exposed flesh to produce a “wet” look and a fire breather spit hot flames to heat up the mood. This video was simply out of control!

Participants were enjoying their 15 minutes of fame, however the filming was truly hard work. While a handful of people fizzled out by midnight, DC’s local stars proved their worth and many stayed until the video shoot wrapped up… at sunrise the next morning!
Cedric Gervais in Washington, DC
Playing alongside Tiesto at the DC Armory and Glow shows at Josephine, Lima Lounge, and Fur Nightclub, Cedric Gervais has been a staple of DC nightlife. In spring 2011, he appeared in his first DC-based music video, “Love is the Answer,” at Lima Lounge with singer Mya.
Don’t miss Cedric’s next performance in DC on Thursday, March 15 at Lima Lounge!
Who is Molly?

The centerpiece of the video was the dazzling “Molly,” portrayed by 22 year old actress/model Jenna Dalton.
Be sure to catch Jenna as she seduces the camera and dances through a series of steamy scenes in Cedric Gervais and 8112 Studio’s newest version of Where’s Waldo when the video premiers later this year!

DJ Selection:
For the first year, we scoured DC looking to draw the most comprehensive list of mainstream, hip-hop, dance, underground, Latin and mash-up DJs possible. We reached out to club owners, promoters and long-time members of the DC nightlife community in order to ensure transparency.
If you or someone you know is not listed and should be, we apologize and have provided a write-in option. In order for a name to be added, you must have at least (10) people write it in the blank space provided. It will then automatically be added to the drop down list.

About Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center
Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center was founded in 1960 by Chuck and Marge Levin. The store was originally located at 12th and H Streets in downtown Washington, D.C. In April of 1968, that location destroyed due to fire in the riots of that same year, following the assassination of Martin Luther King. Two months later, operations resumed at the current location on Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton, Maryland.
Washington Music Center (popularly known as “Chuck’s”) occupies four warehouses and separate repair facilities in close proximity to the main store, as well as state of the art Pro Sound and Home Keyboard showrooms in a building adjacent to the main store. Chuck’s is truly a family operation, and a great deal of our success is directly attributed to the close working relationship of this family. In recent years, the original founders’ two sons, Alan and Robert, have taken over stewardship of the company.
Washington Music Center’s reputation for customer service, competitive pricing, large inventory, reliability, integrity, honesty, dependability, personal attention to details, good will, quality, and customer satisfaction remains unsurpassed by anyone in the retail music industry. For these reasons, Chuck’s has continued to grow and prosper continuously each and every year since it’s inception, winning top sales awards from several of the biggest manufacturers in the music industry. We couldn’t do it without a loyal customer base, and for this you have our utmost gratitude. Thanks everybody!

DJ Pauly D – Official Aftermovie – Glow at Fur 02.25.12
DJ Pauly D – Glow Saturdays at Fur Nightclub – Washington DC – 02.25.12
“The Bridge,” as we like call him, for further connecting the mainstream with dance music, brought his A++ game to Fur Nightclub on 2/25/12. His fourth appearance at Glow at Fur, DJ Pauly DC has done nothing but crush it every single time. This was no different. A bit more house, some killer mashups, a little hip-hop and some old school favorites brought DC nightlife to its knees… that or the champagne shower! DJ Pauly D shows once again that it’s possible for DJs to weave every genre into their sets if done right.

Jesse Tittsworth Birthday Bash: Thurs 02.23.12 [U-Hall]
U Street Music Hall co-owner, moombahton mob boss, connoisseur of gastronomy and friend of octopi near and far Jesse Tittsworth is turning 30-something!
The DC nightlife favorite is celebrating as only a DJ/club owner should – with a reckless sh*t show of a party!
Starting things off is Switch vs. Sinden. You may know Switch from his work as 1/2 of Major Lazer.
He and Diplo have been responsible for some of the most bad ass dance music-reggae-dance hall crossovers to date.
He’s crushed it at festivals, killed it in clubs and is for sure gonna slam his boy Titts’ birthday!
And what’s a DJ’s birthday without some tunes by the guest of honor? Jesse Tittsworth needs no introduction to DC clubbing. His involvement with U-Hall was the icing on U Street’s nightlife revival.
His reckless energy behind the decks in on display throughout the country and world.
He’s been in the studio working something furious lately, prepare for the new hotness!
