Rihanna hangs on to the number two spot with “S&M.” This track has been on the charts for 14 weeks! What a hit! With a title like that it really needs no more explanation! When combined with a racy, somewhat disturbing, music video it’s one of the most controversial tracks currently.
2. Katy Perry Feat. Kanye West – E.T. » Play (video)
Katy Perry falls one to number two this week with ten weeks on the charts! Katy joins forces with Kanye to create this new hit with a great dance feel. The release of the official music video has probably helped push this song to the number one spot, check it out!
3. The Black Eyed Peas – Just Can’t Get Enough » Play (video)
“Just Can’t Get Enough” has a great beat and an incredible club feel. Lyrics invoking love and the one you just can’t get enough of round out an original song with the same Black Eyed Peas sound you love! They’re still just behind Rihanna, maybe they’ll be number two next week!
4. Jeremih Feat. 50 Cent – Down On Me » Play (video)
Jeremih and 50 Cent are Back and here to say, holding on to the charts for 23 weeks and beating out Chris Brown this week to take number six. This is another song that doesn’t need much description, with that title and a little imagination you can figure out what it’s all about.
5. Cee Lo Green – F**k You » Play
“F**k You” falls one this week to number five. Ten weeks on the charts is nothing to be upset about though! If you see them “driving ’round town with the girl [you] love” then there’s only one thing to say .. f**k you!
6. Adele – Rolling In The Deep » Play (video)
Clinging on to the top ten at number ten but on the charts for 15weeks, Adele brings a decidedly different sound to the charts. In this song Adele vents her anger at a relationship that could have “had it all” but instead she is betrayed by the one she loves. Adele contributes to the serious message by comparing her anger to a rising fever and promising to expose him for who he is.
7. Chris Brown Feat. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes – Look At Me Now » Play (video)
Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes bring Hip-Hop/R&B to the overall top ten while topping those charts at number one. Falling one to number seven, “Look At Me Now” is enjoying 11 weeks on the charts.
8. Jennifer Lopez Feat. Pitbull – On the Floor » Play (video)
Lopez and Pitbull still on the top ten at number eight this week with “On the Floor,” a song most literally about tearing up the dance floor. Some say it sounds too much like Kat DeLuna’s “Party O’Clock” and Maya’s “Stereo Love,” what do you think?

It’s pretty surprising that “Till The World Ends” hasn’t seen more time on the top ten. With seven weeks on on the charts and only three on the top ten (not consecutively) this song is not performing as well as some would think. Either way, Britney still never fails to make a hit!

“Judas” makes its debut on the charts at number ten this week. We can assume that “Judas” is about betrayal but take a listen to find out yourself!

DJ Enferno to work on Cirque du Soleil: Michael Jackson the Immortal World Tour
Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour by Cirque du Soleil fuses visuals, dance, music and fantasy; immersing audiences in MJ’s creative world and literally turning his signature moves upside down. The show captures the essence, soul and inspiration of the King of Pop, celebrating a legacy that continues to transcend generations.
Being a Michael Jackson-themed experience, Cirque needs to focus more than ever on the audio aspects of the production. A key element will be the 5.1 mastering work. Music Designer Kevin Antunes’ team will be including none other than your PoP Nightlife at Ultrabar resident and DC nightlife favorite DJ Enferno!
Along with Kevin (Music Director to Madonna and Rihanna), Enferno will be working on rearranging and reinventing Michael Jackson’s music. “It’s a huge honor to be involved with such a big production, and I’m thankful for the chance to pay homage to the greatest artist that ever lived,” says Enferno.
With 47 cities and counting on Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, Cirque du Soleil’s latest production may end up being the biggest draw of all. With a three year run beginning in late 2011, tickets will undoubtedly sell out.

Visit the American History Museum
Okay, we know it sounds a little lame, but how often do you really explore the culture right in your back yard? If you’re a history buff or just haven’t seen it yet, there’s something for everyone. And hey, it’s forecasted to be a dreary day complete with thunderstorms so what else would you really want to do during the day?
There are some great exhibitions at the American History Museum right now. You’d probably be surprised how much you can learn about the nation’s history without even traveling.

Cameron of The Downtown Fiction may just want to run but we’re all glad they’re coming to DC. Featured on Sirius Hits 1 and radio stations around the country, “I Just Wanna Run” is their biggest hit but you’ll get to hear many more this Saturday.

An essential component of a great DJ is the ability to predict what will pop on the dance floor. Whether it is happy hour, open bar, or primetime (generally considered 12-3 for nightlife), a great DJ can predict which song is right for the moment and conversely what not to play. It’s more than just putting one song after another, there is strategy and precision to being a deejay which mixes with talent and makes magic. The same is true when it comes to fashion and business. Deejay Vice always had an affinity for great sneakers and great music, but he never knew that his love of sneakers would one day become another calling. In 2008 Vice was on a flight to Santa Barbara and sat next to a stranger who happened to be wearing the same pair of Nikes. His name? Nick Sakai. After flight delays, conversation, and a handshake, the pair launched CRSVR (short for Crossover), a boutique that offers limited edition sneakers and men’s apparel.
With a keen eye for fashion and good business sense, CRSVR became an enormous success almost immediately. Two years of success prompted the duo to open another location in Las Vegas on December 15, 2010. Vice still runs the sneaker boutiques and deejays in countless cities. With a tireless work ethic, an eye for success, and most likely a lack of sleep, we can expect great music and sneaker selection from DJ Vice for a long time to come.

Steve Aoki is a must. It doesn’t matter what kind of music, venues, people, whatever that you like. He puts on one of the best live shows of any musician across any genre in the world. Straight up.
Steve Aoki’s first performance at Glow last November was possibly the most crowded Glow at Fur has ever been. The crowd was insane, the music was rocking something serious and Steve was a maniac! It was like nothing we had ever experienced. From the bouncers to the bartenders; the crowd and the entire Glow crew were speechless as Steve repeatedly jumped on top of the decks, microphone in hand, going ape sh*t, spraying champagne and diving into the crowd multiple times. Nowhere else can you find a DJ putting on a rock show like that!

The man behind Dim Mak Records who founded artists from Bloc Party, The Kills, The Gossip, Klaxons and many more also is the same man behind the production moniker Weird Science that has remixed Peaches, Snoop Dogg and Bloc Party. Under his own name, Aoki has remixed everyone from the Jackson 5 to The Killers, Tiga and Bloc Party as well as produced original tracks both solo and in collaboration with internationally renowned producers like Armand van Helden, Laidback Luke Junkie XL and The Bloody Beetroots.
