Los Angeles native Trevor McFedries, perhaps better known by his DJ name — Skeet Skeet — is more than just a DJ. Anyone who reads his blog (eatskeet.com), which he started in 2006 with the intention of “posting dumb videos I found on the internet for my friends to check out,” knows he is also an artist and stylish tastemaker.
Currently on tour with Katy Perry, Skeet blessed us with an eclectic mix of the latest and greatest Hip-Hop, R&B, and indie-dance music as the latest addition to the Moodswing360 x G-Shock Music Series.

Tight skirts, house/top 40 and a legit cage bring an air of debauchery to DC nightlife.

Above the swank, low-key lounge known as Dirty Martini sits a 1920’s speakeasy complete with swing, suit of arms and cage for the venue’s dancers.
Upon entry partygoers find a coat check to the right (with the swing just ahead) and bottle servie booths to the left. The ceilings are high and the exposed brick, wood and decor makes one feel as if they stepped into a 100 year-old mansion.

Walking through the rectangular space, to your right is a curtained VIP area, to your left the bar. In the back is a DJ booth, dance floor, cage and in the summer an outdoor patio! The sound system is well-above the norm for most DC club venues.
The crowd at Dirty Bar is quite attractive and always ready for anything the evening brings their way.

DJ Chachi Rocks the Crowd, Brings Presents, and Makes Girls go Wild
Ultrabar resident and New York City Native DJ Chachi goes on camera to tell all about his adventures and experience deejaying around the world. From NYC to DC, Spain, LA, and just about everywhere in between Chachi has been there and done that. From private parties to Britney Spears’ birthday to mega pool parties he can be found there as well.
One of the great things about Chachi is that he usually comes bearing gifts. In the video you can see his shorts, shirts, beach balls, and more. But free gifts can’t buy everyone. When DJ Chachi gets into the booth you know it’s going to be one of those crazy nights. Girls flying everywhere, house music colliding with hard-hitting rock, and all the mashups you know him for always lead to an experience you won’t forget (unless you party a little too hard and don’t remember it to begin with).
Check out his newest mixes below and make sure to catch him next time he’s in DC.
Button It Up!
Attention all Hipsters and Indie Gadget Gurus!!!
>Introducing PLAYBUTTONS<
The iPod and Internet music downloading have been the major catalyst to plummeting album sales around the world. Yet, sometimes, there is that one album from your favorite artist that you feel bad about dumping along into the endless sea that is your iTunes library.
Playbutton pairs the concept of a great album with the classic button pin for the perfect wearable way to listen to music. The front of the button typically features artwork, keeping the album cover relevant while making it easier for bands to distribute and promote their music in a tangible way. The pin itself is an MP3 player that holds an entire full-length album, all powered by a rechargeable lithium battery.

Nick Dangerfield, Playbuttons creator, said “Even if it’s a silly idea I thought it was important to establish a more intimate connection with an album—where you can hold it in your hand and [physically] have to go somewhere to buy it.

Recharge it by disconnecting your headphones and plugging the included USB dongle into the same jack. You have the option of jumping tracks, but much like a record player, the sequence of the album is nonnegotiable as an effort to retain the musicians’ vision.
Playbutton can be affixed to your lapel, or jean jacket, or any wearable fashion. I can hear the Hipster’s secretly squealing (as to not look too excited) about this new accessory.
The first batch of Playbuttons to hit the street include Bubbles’ self-titled album, a reissue of Wind’s Poem by Mount Eerie and a special Valentine-themed compilation of love songs by Vampire Weekend, Magnetic Fields, Bjork, Matthew Dear, Florence and The Machine, among others.

With a price tag of $20-$25 (Playbutton.co) the buttons may end up being more of a novelty, but I can see them as a great way to market new artists and a funky selling point at the merchandise tables at concerts.
Monday Night Football: Redskins vs. Cowboys [9/26/11]!
The Biggest Rivalry in Football

8:30 pm on ESPN — Monday, September 26, 2011
Starting the season 2-0, the Washington Redskins are ready to do Dallas!
In the next installment of this great sports rivalry, the Redskins will be fighting to maintain their #1 spot in the NFC East. Although quarterback Tony Romo and a pass-happy Cowboys will certainly put the Redskins secondary to the test, do the Skins have what it takes to defeat their Texas nemesis this season?
“[The newcomers will] learn pretty quickly that we hate the Cowboys around here. There’s no love lost at all. After that game you’ll normally see a bunch of people in the training room getting healed up for the next week. It’s gonna be a physical game, a lot of intensity. We definitely don’t like the Cowboys around here.”
— London Fletcher, Redskins Linebacker —
Rivalry History
The last time these teams met was on December 19, 2010, where the Cowboys narrowly defeated the Skins 33-30. Although the Cowboys lead the rivalry 60-38-2 dating back to 1960, they have an even .500 record at their Monday Night Football games. Their last Monday Night Football meeting was in 2005, which resulted in a 14-13 Redskins victory.
Be sure to head to Barcode and catch all the Monday night madness for this intense game!
D.C. Housewife is Journey’s Latest Groupie
They were featured on the Bravo reality show “The Real Housewives of D.C.,” which debuted in August 2010 but was canceled this year after one season.
The Salahis, whose money dried up just like their winery have been searching for the spotlight since they famously crashed a state dinner at the White House in 2009 (they claim they were invited).
WHEELS IN THE SKY
TMZ reported earlier this week that Tareq Salahi called authorities to report his wife Michaele had been abducted. Tareq Salahi told TMZ that he last saw his wife at their home in Virginia around 11AM last Monday before leaving to go to their winery, and that she has been missing ever since.
When he called the Warren County Sheriff’s Dept. for help, he says he was told that Michaele had already called the police to let them know she is fine and is simply dealing with some “family issues.” Tareq, however, believed his wife was forced to make the calls, and had issued a statement asking the public for help.
“We are asking the public to please be on the look out for her, and if found please contact the authorities.”
THE NEWEST/OLDEST JOURNEY GROUPIE

Well, Michaele was found alright, at a Journey concert. Far from being kidnapped, the former Bobby Brown makeup counter “artist” ran away with Journey lead guitarist Neal Schon. Apparently, Michaele is on tour with the band, and not as a back-up tambourine player.
It was also confirmed that Michaele has dated Schon in the past and had partied at the Salahis’ winery last year — and she’s called it an “intimate and passionate relationship.” To which Tareq replied by filing for divorce.
THE BALLS OF THIS GUY- LITERALLY
To make matters worse, Tareq is also allegedly getting photos of his estranged wife’s lover’s penis via email.
“That was the lewdest, most disgusting thing I had seen,” he tells E!. “I didn’t understand, why in the world would Neal Schon be sending us a picture of his penis to us at Oasis, our master account.”
WHO’S CRYIN NOW?

Maybe Neal Schon was Michaele’s one pass from Tareq. How some couples say, “If I ever have the chance to sleep with <insert famous crush here> you won’t divorce me”. But Neal Schon…really Michaele? Schon has five ex wives and four children under the age of ten, so by the time that Journey money trickles down to you—well, don’t stop believin’!
Looks like the show was canceled prematurely, because this would have been the best episode ever!
Chewing Is So Overrated: Meal Inspired Cocktails
Move over Apple Martini!
Say hello to Grilled Cheese, McNuggets, Ham and Cheeseburgers!
The Grilled Cheese Martini
Nauseous yet? The Grilled Cheese Martini was created by Kurt Beecher Dammeier of Beecher’s Handmade Cheese and The Cellar, where the $15 off-the-menu cocktail is sold in New York City’s Flatiron District.

- Soak six piping hot sandwiches in 10 gallons of vodka, marinated for 24 hours
- Rimmed Glass with balsamic glaze and crispy Serrano prosciutto
- All poured over a giant tomato ice cube with basil garnish
As for the taste: Apparently it’s exactly like grilled cheese – liquid grilled cheese.
The McNuggetini
Not to be left in the dark, Chicken McNuggets make their fateful leap into a booze-fueled form. Los Angeles residents, Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark concocted this ultimate drink that combines dinner, cocktail, and dessert- The McNuggetini.
- Vanilla Vodka and McDonalds chocolate milkshake
- Shake and pour into a martini glass rimmed in BBQ sauce
- Topped off with a chicken nugget garnish
The creators’ claim it tastes a lot like a White Russian, once you get past the BBQ sauce.
The Ham Daiquiri
Following up on the McNuggetini, Hardstark and Ward revealed their latest concoction: The Ham Daiquiri!
- Pineapple & Pineapple Soda
- Honey & Honey Ham
- Jamaican Rum
- Liquid Smoke
- All blended together into what they call a “violent storm of pig meat and fruit”
To no surprise, they gag, describing it as “chewy” and “like someone came along and chewed your lunch for you”. They also advised bringing a barf bag- just in case!
The Cheeseburger

Finally, to the delight of meat-lovers everywhere, quirky mixologists dreamed up the Cheeseburger released by Flor de Caña rum.
- Beef stock reduction layered with rum
- Muddled Roma tomatoes and fresh iceberg lettuce water
- Garnished with an aged cheddar frico (a type of cheese crisp) and a kosher dill pickle garnish
Apparently Americans have an insatiable thirst for the perfect cocktail-as-meal but I draw the line at Ham Daiquiri.
